We will also have a Swap ‘n Shop.

This meeting will be hosted by Jaye. The theme will be Barbie on the Record.
We will be watching excerpts of Jaye’s Master of Arts Thesis performance of BARBIE SINGS. Originally recorded by Mattel in 1961. Jaye will talk briefly about Barbie on the record.
We will also have a swap and shop. There is food and drink available at the studio.
If members have any Barbie recordings or ephemera please bring them to share. Bring your dolls dressed to enjoy a concert or show.
This is a first for VAMP! And not to be missed!

2009 National Barbie® Doll Collectors Convention

Barbie® doll’s 50th Anniversary is in 2009 and the fabulous Convention will be held from July 7th through July 11th, 2009, at the Marriott Wardman Park in Washington D.C.!

Our next VAMP Meeting is on September 21st, 2009 @ 7:00 pm at Norman’s
office.
The meeting will be hosted by John Patrick, and will be a tribute to the
1967 TNT Barbie.
Bring your fave TNT dressed in her best!

We will be at the St Vincent’s location for this meeting.

November 23, 2009, Monday
The November meeting is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 23, 7 PM at St Vincent’s Hospital cafeteria. The theme will be “Hospital”, so bring your dolls prepared to do or undergo surgery. Our goal will be to create a hospital diorama which we can photograph and then present to St Vincent’s Hospital. Also, please bring your WORST doll. Our experts will be on hand to guide you through what you need to do to fix your doll. Looking forward to seeing you there.
